Mrs Bastian sitting with Engineer Commander Cock on the quarterdeck of HMS 'Aurora' (1913).

A photograph of a smiling Mrs Bastian sitting on a vent cowling next to Engineer Commander Alfred E. Cock sitting on the edge of one of the ready-use ammunition racks. Behind Mrs Bastian is the 3 inch anti-aircraft gun with a sailor working in it. The edge of the blast screen for the aft 6 inch gun is on the right of the image. Behind Cdr Cock is the rear-most 4 inch gun.

There is a long flaw in the negative, but it does not affect the image.
