Nine Fairey Swordfish I torpedo bomber reconnaissance biplane aircraft of 824 Squadron Fleet Air Arm parked in line abreast on Kai Tak airfield, Hong Kong, seen from ahead of the starboard side. The squadron is disembarked from the aircraft carrier Eagle (1918). The nearest aircraft is K8386, coded 945, which was delivered to the Fleet Air Arm at Gosport 30 November 1936 and was in 824 Squadron from January 1937 to December 1939. The next two aircraft in the line are K8391 coded 952 and K8388 coded 950. The squadron was at Kai Tak 6 May to 28 May, 19 October to 4 November and 5 November to 30 November 1937.
