A silver matchbox case with a hinged lid, a suspension loop on the top of the lid and a striker on the underside. One side is decorated with the enamelled coat of arms of Blackpool, in yellow, black and red. On the same side, inscribed on the lid is: 'COUNTY BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL'. On the other side is the inscription: 'OFFICIAL MEMENTO OF THE VISIT OF THE CHANNEL FLEET TO BLACKPOOL 9TH 10TH & 11TH AUGUST 1907.' The inside of the case is cream in colour.
