Spoon
A carved wooden spoon, which is a memento of the Anglo-Russian alliance of 1907. The fish on the end of the handle is painted in black, cream and red and the whole spoon is varnished. There is a faint inscription in Russian. Following the alliance with Russia, the British Fleet visited St. Petersbur, Lieutenant-Commander W.H. Macey, at that time an Able Seaman, brought back the spoon. This was presented by the Russians to Royal Navy crew members.
