Silver rose bowl

A silver rose bowl, presented by the Trustees of the Thames Sailing Barge Match Fund to the barge 'Memory' built in 1904. 2nd prize Staysail class, 10 June 1958. The bowl has two handle one either side of the bowl that split into two seperate stands before joing with the main body of the bowl. This bowl is heavily tarnished and there is heavy patination all over the bowl. Engraved on the bowl are the words "THAMES SAILING BARGE MATCH 10TH JUNE 1958, STAYSAIL CLASS SECOND PRIZE, PRESENTED BY TRUSTEES OF THAMES SAILING BARGE MATCH". Attached to the top of the bowl is a tarnished metal grid that is attached by two metal clips on the side of the lip of the bowl. The maker's marks are engraved on the bottom of the bowl.
