Champagne cork associated with Lieutenant-Commander John Harold McGivering. Formerly tied with string to a key TOA0153. With a label: '9/4/44. Ground nut chop, champagne from Birsao etc at the Minalls, Freetown. Peter, the lady who gave me the note-case and the other chap. The key is supposed to be that of the UAC building that was destroyed by fire this year.'
