Buckle from 'Royal George' wreck
A buckle retrieved from the wreck site of the ship of the line 'Royal George', which sank at Spithead in 1782. It is made from a copper alloy with gilt and a steel pin. There is an impressed mark on the buckle with the word 'THOMASON'.
