Lengths of rope from the wreck of the 'Royal George'
Three short lengths of rope retrieved from the wreck site of the ship of the line 'Royal George', which sank at Spithead in 1782. The longest rope is severely discoloured. A large amount of sediment is stuck to the shortest rope.
