The torpedo boat TB2 (1906) underway at speed off Sheerness.
A distant view of the coastal torpedo boat TB 2 (1906) underway at speed in calm seas off Sheerness. She is followed by an unidentified destroyer, possibly also a Cricket class destroyer, whose stern is out of the picture.
This class tended to be stationed with the North Sea Patrol or with the Nore Local Defence Flotilla.
Aurora (1913) left Harwich for Chatham via Black Deep at 7am on 21 November 1916. She arrived at Sheerness at 1030am and disembarked her ammunition before proceeding to Chatham South Lock at 340pm. She underwent a refit and cleaning until December 1916. [Ship's log, ADM 53/34496].
