'Royal George' timber fragment

Timber retrieved from the wreck site of the ship of the line 'HMS Royal George' which sunk at Spithead in 1782. Small piece of oak plank with the painted inscription: 'Piece of the Rl. George Sunk Augt 29 1782 Recovd 1841.'
