San Sebastian, seal of the town council, 13th century. Depicts a thirteenth-century sailing vessel. A very early illustration of bowlines led to the bowsprit end. One of the earliest known representations of ratlines on the shrouds. Inscription: 'SIGILLVM : CONCILLII : DE : SATO : SEBASTIANO'. The cast is mounted on an emulsioned plywood backboard with a label.
