A round box lid made of embossed sheet brass. On the lid is a profile portrait of Nelson facing left, inscribed: 'ADMIRAL LORD NELSON BORN 29TH SEPTR 1758'. Signed by the makers: 'M & P' on the lid.The edge of the lid is decorated with a Greek key pattern.
