Nereus
Scale: Unknown. A half block model of the yawl, Nereus (1899) made entirely of wood in bread and butter fashion. The lower section of the hull has been painted a light green colour above which is a thin horizontal band of white paint with a black section of topsides to deck level which is complete with a thin rubbing strake and gold line at deck level running the entire length of the hull. The deck is painted black and is fitted with two stump masts, a bowsprit and a bumkin all of which are made in natural wood and varnished. The hull is fitted with a curved shallow raking bow which deepens towards the stern which is fitted with a rudder below the overhanging counter stern. The whole model is mounted on a mahogany backboard with moulded edging and has been varnished.
