Britannia
Scale: Unknown. A contemporary half block model of the cutter-rigged racing yacht Britannia(1893). The hull has been carved from a solid(?) block of wood and is painted a copper colour below the waterline with black topsides above. It has an almost flat sheer with a spoon bow running aft with a convex curve down to the keel where it meets and angled stenpost fitted with a half elliptical-shaped rudder. The stern has a long and narrow overhanging counter finishing with a small tapering transom. On deck it is fitted with a single stump mast and bowsprit. The whole model is mounted on a rectangular mahogany backboard with a moulded edge.
