Scale: 1:48. A half block model of the port side of the corvette HMS Blanche, and her sister ships HMS Danae, HMS Dido, HMS Eclipse (all 1867), HMS Sirius, HMS Spartan (both 1868) and HMS Tenedos (1870), made entirely in wood and painted in realistic colours. The hull is painted to resemble weathered copper below the waterline and black above. There is a well for the propeller which is either missing or was not originally fitted. other hull details include six rectangular gunports, rudder and a single row of portholes. Fittings include stump bowsprit, foremast, mainmast, and mizzen mast, and a single stump funnel painted ochre. The model is displayed on a backboard painted off-white with a mahogany-stained frame with bevelled edge.
