King of Tyre (1871); Cargo vessel; Schooner

Scale: Unknown. A half frame model of the starboard side of the merchant schooner King of Tyre (1871), made entirely in wood. The model is unpainted and depicts only the frames which are shown as solid bulkheads, stem-post, keel, deadwood and transom which as a prominent overhang. The backboard is integral to the model and effectively forms the stem-post, keel and deadwood. On label ‘King of Tyre Fore and Aft Schooner Length 58' Breadth 19' Depth 9' Built by J W & A Upham Ltd 1871’.
