A starboard quarter view of the torpedo boat destroyer HMS Amazon (1908) underway at Dover. Her pendant number 01 can just been seen painted on the stern.

HMS Aurora (1913) left Harwich on 12 April and arrived at Dover at 1.05pm where she undertook night defence off the Downs. Aurora returned to Harwich on 20 April via Edinburgh Channel and Black Deep. [Ship's log, TNA, ADM 53/34496].
