Morayshire (1875); Cargo vessel
Scale: 1:48. A half block model of the starboard side of the cargo ship Morayshire (1875), made entirely in wood and partly painted in realistic colours. The hull is polished wood below the waterline and painted black above with details highlighted in unpainted wood. The fittings include a gold-painted figurehead and stump bowsprit. The model is displayed on a mahogany backboard. Inscribed on the backboard is ‘Dobie & Co. Covan, Glasgow’.
