Avonfield
Scale: 1:96. A professionally made model made to a high standard and complete with its original baseboard and plaques. The solid wood hull has been immaculately painted and the multitude of deck and superstructure fittings is all finely executed. ‘Avonfield’ (1953) was, at the time, a large vessel at 11,310 tons gross. Part of the largest independently-owned British tanker fleet of the 1950s, she was one of a group of ten petroleum carriers built between 1950 and 1955. ‘Avonfield’ was built by William Doxford and Son, Sunderland, for Eden Tankers Ltd.
