Equipment model; Anchor model
Scale: Unknown. A patent model of a Griffin's triton anchor, sanctioned in 1906. The model is made entirely in brass and either gold plated or lacquered. The shank is rectangular in section, at the top of which is a D-ring that pivots on a concealed rivet. Along the two short edges of the shank is inscribed: 'W Griffin Cradle Heath'. The crown is concave and has a rectangular aperture through which the bottom of the shank can be seen. On both sides of the crown is inscribed: 'Triton'. The arms are concave underneath in the same plane as the crown and a pair of tall flukes with pointed palms rise vertically from the upper faces. The arms pivot through an arc of about eighty degrees.
