Scale: Unknown. A modern model of a Greek or Roman stone killick anchor made largely from wood and complete with a small lead stock. The main shank is a straight piece of wood, rectangular in section, to which are pegged by a wooden treenail a pair of wooden arms with curved inward faces, mounted at an angle of approximately 45 degrees. The lead stock, which is rectangular in section passes through a hole in the shank and is held in position by a small shoulder and a wooden peg either side of the shank. The rope cable is knotted to a ring made from a series of smaller rope cords which is lashed the top of the shank.
