Component model; Sectional model; Frame model

Scale: Unknown. Model showing a plan for making ships' floors from straight timber. The model has been made from two pieces of wood almost identical in shape, and secured together with a scarph joint in the centre and fixed with six brass pins. The model has been made from mahogany and varnished, and on the edge face of one piece of timber the number "44" has been hand painted using white paint. On one side of both pieces of timber "B5" has been stamped into the wood.
