HMS 'James Watt' (1853); Warship; 91-gun

Scale: Unknown. Sectional model depicting the method for connecting iron beams to the side of the 91 gun screw warship HMS 'James Watt' (1853). The hull section has been basically made in wood and is secured to an elongated wooden baseboard which has been stained a dark colour. The iron beams have been riveted together and are connected to the hull. A small section of deck planking has been attached to the framing and a museum label has been applied to it. A paper label marked '865' has been attached to the baseboard.
