Warship

Scale: Unknown. Model of a section of hull of an armour plated ship with a porthole made entirely in wood with metal and glass fittings and stained and polished. The hull is painted black and the section faces, inboard hull and deck pledges are stained a dark brown finish. The section of hull enclosing the porthole can be removed and is secured to the model by four large headed slot screws. The interior shows a deep aperture through which passes an iron rod with a forked end, used for plugging the light. The model is displayed on a rectangular wooden baseboard with rounded edges and bun feet. There is a paper label applied to the top face of the model, with an illegible handwritten inscription.
