True Vine; Fishing vessel; Lugger
Scale: Unknown. Full hull model of a lug-rigged fishing vessel. The name "True Vine" and "ML 20" are painted on the port and starboard bows, but the model is thought to depict an imaginary vessel. It has been brightly painted in gloss colours. The hull is brick red below the waterline and gloss black above. White lines have been painted along the waterline and strakes. The grey cloth sails with black edges and stitching are set on the two masts and bowsprit. The model is equipped with a fishing net, with white marker buoys, stowed on the port side of the deck. There are also port and starboard navigation lights and a capstan situated to the stern of the vessel. Various deck details and trimmings have been painted bright blue and green. The wooden deck has been varnished and the hatch cover boards have been painted gloss black. The model is fixed to a plain modern wood baseboard.
