Ordnance model; Gun carriage model
Scale: 1:10. Model of a proposed non-recoil gun carriage (19th century). The model has been made entirely from a dark stained wood and shows a flatbed gun carriage without wheels and includes a pair of eye bolts to work the rigging of the gun. To secure the gun to the carriage there is a removal pin, the patina of which would suggest that the model at some point had a gun. The forward end of the flatbed of the carriage is rounded in plan and has been chamfered, creating a point on the top edge.
