Ordnance model; Gun model
Scale: 1:20. Model of a 6-inch gun of a type used in HMS Enterprise (1919), made entirely in metal and chrome-plated. The model has a number of moving parts including the angle of elevation, rotation on its mount and the openable breech. The shield has three apertures for the two rangefinders(?) and barrel and is made from three pieces of metal plate riveted together. The model is displayed on a turned circular lignum vitae-type wooden baseboard with a decorative bevelled edge. On handwritten label attached to shield "6X 34 (Loan RNTC) 6" steel, mounted, with shield, as in HMS Enterprise 1926 L RNTC".
