Ordnance model; Gun turret model

Scale: 1:16. Model of a circular gun turret housing two 12 ton muzzle loading guns on wooden slide carriages. The exterior and interior of the turret are painted gloss black with the internal panelling finished in a creamy white. The construction of the turret itself is by riveted sheet metal, some of which has been omitted to show the framework and internal workings. There is a working gearing mechanism that allows training of the turret. The top of the turret has been omitted to allow access to the guns which are painted black on natural varnished wooden carriages. The guns are a basic representation in wood and have no working components. The whole model is mounted on its original square wooden baseboard mounted on four turned bun feet.
