The hull is double ended, narrow and deep and is carved from two pieces of wood divided longitudinally along the waterline and stitched together. The upper half of the canoe is carved with a simple geometric diamond pattern. In the centre of the hull is a lozenge shaped aperture for the crew and a single thwart.
