On a maroon ground, an embroidered blue ensign of the Admiralty, defaced with a yellow anchor lying horizontally and edged with silver wire; within a wreath of laurel leaves embroidered in silver wire and surmounted by a post-1901 crown embroidered in silver wire on maroon velvet with red, green and blue 'jewels'. The whole is on a black felt ground backed with stiffener. There is a printed makers label on the back.
