Liquid compass

Liquid compass.

Bowl: Brown bakelite bowl with black lubber lines carried on three white plastic struts set 90 degs apart. There is also a piece of white plastic, broken, graduated in degrees 150 - 215. There is a filler hole on side. An aluminium verge ring holds the glass dome in place. Expansion chamber seems to be set in base of bowl.

Card: No card.

Needle: Two square section bar needles held in plastic containter and slung beneath clear plastic float with wings. Length 2.1" (6 cm)

Pivot: A metal pivot spike set in base of bowl by three screws.
