Button, Royal Naval uniform: pattern 1812-1825
Four midshipman's buttons. Flat. Smooth edge. On a smooth background is a pre-1901 crown above an anchor with the rope tied to a ring at the top, then it goes under the left-hand stock, under the shank to the right, under the shank to the left, under the left arm and then it curls under the crown and under the right arm. (Cheap version). Midshipman.
