Liquid compass and binnacle

Bowl- Dia. 9.75" (24.8cm) Black painted brass, domed china base, with patent bubble trap. Inside of bowl painted white with four black wire lubber lines.
Card-Dia. 7.5" (19cm) White painted aluminium with black markings, graduated to 360 degs. Attached to unpainted aluminium float at centre.
Azimuth circle-Dia. 10.25" (26cm) Black painted brass with white markings, graduated to 360 degs anti-clockwise. Backsight is a hinged plate with slit sight. Fore sight is mounted on a bracket which carries two fixed prisms and a spirit level and dark glass reflector. The fore sight is an open frame with thread.
Binnacle- Dia. at top 14.5" (36.8cm), dia. at base 6.5" (16.5cm) Grey painted brass with brass fittings. Fitted with sphere brackets and spheres, Flinders Bar 25.5" (64.8cm) long. A sliding door (missing) at side gives access to geared horizontal and vertical corrector magnet mechanisms. Mk 1 corrector coils are fitted which consist of two large coils 25" (63.5cm) dai. and 26" (66cm) dai. which can be slewed a few degrees.
Hood - Grey painted brass with large oval aperture on one side and a sliding shutter on the other, an oli/electric lamp bracket is mounted to top (lamp missing).
