NMM, Progress Book, volume 6, folio 431, states that 'Penang' arrived at Woolwich Dockyard on 16 August 1810, docked on 17 August, and sailed in October 1810. The Progress Book does not record when the name was changed to 'Malacca', or when she was launched at Prince of Wales Island (Penang).
