Scale: 1:24. Plan showing the method of clinching (fastening) a chain cable using a slip hook, for all warships. It seems this plan was drawn at Chatham in January 1837, but modified at Somerset House in February 1837 in William Symonds' handwriting. Copies were sent to Portsmouth, Plymouth, Chatham, Woolwich, Sheerness and Pembroke Dockyards.
