Britannia (1887)
A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant port near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Britannia (1887) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is flying the blue peter and a pilot flag. There are no yards on her masts. The passenger ferry/tender Thames (1868) is alongside and the steam passenger launch Maude (1886) is outboard of her. Ashore in the left background is the Coast Guard Watch Vessel CGWV 28 (1847). Tilbury is in the background. The bottom right corner of the negative is missing.
