Chusan (1884)
A whole plate negative. A poor quality port very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Chusan (1884) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has three yards on her foremast and awnings rigged aft. She is flying the blue peter from the foremast and has the twin funneled screw tug Woodcock (1884) alongside amidships. Tilbury is in the background. The negative emulsion is badly damaged by damp.
