Columbia (1884)
A 12x10 negative. A port broadside view of the screw tug Columbia (1884) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. The passenger ferry Sir Walter Raleigh (1855) is alongside the Tilbury ferry landing stage and the passenger ferry Carlotta (1893) is dried out on shore on the right. The negative has been slightly retouched to remove her anchor chain, one of her crew and a tug in the left background.
