A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant starboard broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Egypt (1897) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is flying the blue peter at the foremast. The paddle tug Iona (1876) is alongside aft. A yawl rigged boat and a steam launch are at anchor on the right and the steam launch Blyth and the bow of the Port Sanitary Authority hulk Hygeia (1863) are on the left. Tilbury is in the background. It is low tide.
