A starboard near broadside view of the Swedish general cargo ship Emma Fernstrom (1905) moored at Harwich after being intercepted in the North Sea with a cargo of German coal from Rotterdam to Sweden. She has her national colours painted in stripes on the bow and below the poop deck. The ship also has 'EMMA FERNSTROM - SVERIGE' painted in white letters on a black background on the broadside below the funnel.

Aurora's log records her being at sea examining steamers. She intercepted the Emma Fernstrom at 1.30pm on 14 September.
