Glencoe (1878)
A whole plate negative. A port very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo steamship Glencoe (1878) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has two yards on each of her fore and main masts and an awning is rigged aft. A small steam launch is alongside amidships and a stackie spritsail barge is preparing to make sail beyond her. Tilbury is in the background. Negatives numbers G1704 and G2316 were taken on the same occasion.
