Lydian Monarch (1881)
A whole plate negative. A starboard near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Lydian Monarch (1881) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has an auxiliary sailing rig with four yards on each of her fore and main masts, comprising a course, double topsails and single topgallants. She is flying the United States courtesy flag from her foremast. Tilbury is in the background. A very slightly unsharp image. Negatives numbers G1721 and G2322 were taken on the same occasion.
