Minnewaska (1909)
A 12x10 negative. A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Minnewaska (1909) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames, preparing to depart for New York. A small steam launch is alongside amidships and a tug is close to her bow waiting to take her bow line. The Tilbury-Gravesend passenger ferry Rose (1901) is on the right and the Tilbury Hotel is in the background. Negatives numbers G156, G971, G976 and G1179 were all taken on the same occasion.
