A half plate negative. A port broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Orient (1879) under tow in Gravesend Reach, River Thames, bound up. The bow tug is out of the picture and the tug Champion (1892) is alongside the liner. Tilbury is in the background. A copy of part of Gould negative number G741.
