A 12x10 negative. A starboard broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Oriental (1889) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. There is a large number of passengers on board. A rowing boat with policemen at the oars is passing the ship. Tilbury Fort gatehouse and the Coast Guard Watch Vessel CGWV.28 (1847) are in the background.
