Orotava (1889); Rescue (1869)
A 12x10 negative. A port broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Orotava (1889) at moorings in Gravsend Reach, River Thames. She has short funnels and four masts and the passenger steam launch Maude (1886) is alongside. The paddle tug Rescue (1869), seen from astern, is in the foreground. She has steam up but there is no-one at the wheel and she may be at anchor. Tilbury is in the background.
