A port near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Ruapehu (1901) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. she has two yards on her foremast. The tug Simla (1898) is alongside her stern and the passenger steam launch Mantis (1884) is alongside her bow. Tilbury is in the background.
