Join us on a journey back in time with Curator of Time Dr Emily Akkermans at the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
Explore the history of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and the instruments that were used to define our place in time and space.
Learn about the instruments and people that changed how people have interacted with GMT, and discover how innovations in timekeeping technologies have even changed the way we define time.
The tour is free and takes place once general admission to the Royal Observatory is closed. Visitors need to book online in advance to secure their place.
The tour starts in the Prime Meridian courtyard and lasts for around 45 minutes.
