Loose sheets with notes made by Noel, mostly 1909-1918. Including notes on the career of Admiral of the Fleet Sir John A. Fisher, Board of Admiralty post holders and organization, the German warship shipbuilding programme, the battleship HMS MARLBOROUGH (1912), the Hartington Royal Commission ordered in 1888, gunnery exercises and rifle ammunition. Also a scrap from an envelope signed by Lord Nelson, given to Noel by Fitzroy Lloyd Anstruther, March 1909.
