Cutting from The Times about Mr. Thomas Earnshaw reward for longitude.
13 February 1806, Cutting from The Times about Mr. Thomas Earnshaw receiving the long contested reward of £3000. On March 3 and 17, 1803, the Board had voted him the above sum, but then he was challenged about being the inventor. This article is much in favour of Earnshaw, and identifies Banks and Mr Gilpin, secretary to the Board, as the enemy.
